Comments: The long anticipated return of Bob Seger and
the Silver Bullet band to Cobo Arena finally came to fruition
Thursday night and all expectations were exceeded. The
crowd was in high octane from the start and the band was
firing on all cylinders. The months of touring together
clearly has tightened up this band. Buoyed by a world class
acoustiic environment, the show took off and didn't slow down
late in the second set when "The Answer is in the Question"
was played. Bob shook things up a bit in the song
placements. Kid Rock joined Bob onstage for "Real Mean
Bottle" to close out the 1st set before intermission. He
brought back "Simplicity" and slipped in the delightful "Nutbush
City Limits". Bob's wife and daughter were at the show.
Bob gets a deafening prolonged ovation after "Turn the Page".
Bob takes the stage 10 minutes earlier than normal. The band
soundchecks "Good For Me" but doesn't play it. Detroit native Uncle Kracker
opened the show with a very short 5 song set.
